* As is normal fair at Pigpen, we have a few open rooms this summer. With a normal capacity of 100%, summer is a great time to get in Pigpen and stay. This time there are actaully 2 smaller rooms available which is unusual.
We have one at $200/mo and one at $250.
We also have one office space (no rehearsal) at $150/month
*Cancellations are the bane of any studio's existence....PIgpen has a few dates that have come open unexpectedly which I will discount to refill. Take any of the available dates at $300/day!

* Pigpen Records has expanded into music publishing now! We have signed several wirters with hopes of moving these artists into new ventures! Mike Sparrow, Duramater, and Daniel Maldonado Collins lead the crusade. Another beautiful writer is expected to be announced soon...check back for details!
*While '08 proved to be a great year for the fellas at Pigpen, '09 is already promising to be even bigger. The studio has undergone an expansion of two new live rooms and some complimentary gear to boot. This year's early rumblings include:

* Patrick Ferguson has been tracking the new five eight record slated to release in the very near future! Daniel is set to mix the new release next month! PAtrick has also been tracking the new Young Antiques record which is sounding very promising!
* Daniel's recent projects include: Athens' singer songwriter, Jason Beckham, Athens' rockers Cause Defect, Atlanta artist Zack Gruczkowski, R+B group, Blacstone, and has begun work with Atlanta new comers, Thunderbolt 5.
*Other recent projects form outside engineers and producers include Bubba Sparxxx, Wrath, Mike Dekle, and Chris Combs!

Studio basics:
Pigpen Studios is a commercial recording facility in the heart of Athens, GA. With its turn of the century architecture and state of the art recording studio, it has become one of the most popular studios in the area. Onsite is a full production room, overnight accommodations for the out-of-town bands, and eleven rehearsal rooms located in beautiful downtown Athens. It also houses offices for Pigpen Records and Cranes Nest Artist Agency.
The studio itself is a truly professional hybrid production facility. To offer the best of both worlds, Pigpen is stocked with racks full of the most sought after analog gear and the newest in digital recording. Come get immersed and make a great record!
Daniel Maldonado Collins Info:
It all began as it always does.
Boy sees rock star (in this case, Gene Simmons), boy wants to be rock star.
It all goes downhill from there (or uphill depending upon your point of view). After touring for nearly a decade and producing records along the way, Daniel decided to finally take the pig by the tail and do what he has always desired … make records every day. So here he is, countless records adorning his name later, at the aptly named Pigpen Studios…. waiting to hear if you have what it takes to make a great record.
And of course, with music comes business. Daniel’s learned a thing or two through the years (including a music business degree) and has decided to put it to use. He started Pigpen Records in 2008. While running the successful Pigpen Studios, and Pigpen Records, Daniel has developed an influential relationship with the Athens music community in many ways, including teaching Pro Tools to aspiring producers and engineers.
In his free time.... well...he...uh, still wants to be Gene Simmons.
